Installing BuddyRadar
Nothing happens after I click the download link. (I cannot execute the downloaded sparc file.)
Please make sure you have the latest version of Skype installed on your PC. Also, make sure that sparc file icon has been changed to a Skype supported icon. If you still have trouble executing the sparc file, do the following: 1. Right click the downloaded sparc file. 2. Choose "Open With..." -> "Select the program from a list" -> "Browse" and choose " C:\Program Files\Skype\Plugin Manager\skypePM.exe". (If you cannot find this program, you probably need to install the latest version of Skype.)
A warning message that Javaw.exe is trying to access Skype is displayed.
Please allow Javaw.exe to access Skype. BuddyRadar is based on Java/SWT and executes as a process named Javaw.exe.
BuddyRadar does not start after installation.
Please try the following from the Skype menu: Select: Tools -> Do More -> BuddyRadar and start BuddyRadar. Or you may have to start BuddyRadar from the Extra Manager. In this case Select: Tools -> Do More -> Organize you Extras, then start BuddyRadar.

More About BuddyRadar
If I set multiple "Aliases" in nearby locations, which alias names take precedence?
If you configure multiple aliases near a certain location, the one that matches with the closest latitude and longitude coordinates will be used.
I managed to register two aliases for a certain place. Can I delete one of them?
Right click on BuddyRadar's main window, and choose "List Aliases" from the menu. You can delete aliases in the List Aliases window.
- Right click on the Main Window and choose "List Aliases" from the menu.
- Right click on the alias name you want to delete (If the row you want to delete does not display an alias name, simply right click the blank leftmost field).
- Choose "Delete" from the menu.
Even if I check, "Hide Offline Users" in the Settings menu, I can see my offline contacts on the Radar Mode.
In the Radar, users who are offline are shown at their last location. The "Hide Offline Users" checkbox is only valid for the List Mode.
I don't see any of my contacts in the Radar Mode; or, I only a see a few of my contacts displayed in Radar Mode, some seem to be missing, why?
In Radar Mode, only users who share their location information are shown. If none of your contacts are sharing their location information, nobody will be shown in your Main Window in Radar Mode. If your contacts are sharing location information, but they do not show up in Radar Mode, there's a good chance that they are too far away. You can change the map zoom level via the menu that comes up by right clicking on the Main Window and try to find your buddies.
There is some garbled text in my Skype mood text. What is it?
This garbled text is special data that BuddyRadar uses to convey position coordinate information with other contacts who are using BuddyRadar. Since your mood text is only shared with users in your contact list this special text will not be shared with other Skype users.
My Skype mood text gets garbled because of BuddyRadar... (ex. I see text like: #66djwbYy8zUA)
The garbled text you see is special data that BuddyRadar uses and is not a bug. Your position coordinate information is encoded in this string (ex. #66djwbYy8zUA) and is shared with users in your contact list. Since your mood text is only shared with users in your contact list this special text will not be shared with other Skype users.
